Richard J. Thomas, age 90, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025.
He was born on June 15, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles and Marguerite Thomas.
Richard was a proud Army veteran, having served his country with honor and dedication.
Richard is preceded in death by his beloved son, Richard Thomas (Jackie).
He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Carynne Thomas; daughter, Dianna Thomas (Caye Showker); sons, David Thomas (Sharon) and Brian Thomas (Tina); and his brother, Ron Thomas (Norma).
He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Richard was known for his strong work ethic and deep love for his family.
He was a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A burial service will be held at Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee, to celebrate his life and legacy.
Burial date is still pending. May he rest in peace.
