UPDATE: Luis Alberto Torres Ambrosico, 21, has been identified as the driver killed in Friday night’s multi-vehicle crash on Bell Road.
A man has died following a multi-vehicle crash on Bell Road near Hickory Highlands Drive Friday night. The preliminary investigation indicates a red Nissan Altima traveling south crossed into the continuous left turn lane and struck a Toyota Prius.
The Altima then returned to its original lane of travel and struck a Toyota Venza.
The unidentified driver of the Altima was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. The 26-year-old driver of the Prius was also transported to Vanderbilt with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger of the Venza were uninjured.
There were no signs of intoxication at the scene on the part of the Prius or Venza drivers.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will work to positively identify the driver of the Altima and will conduct toxicology testing to determine whether impairment was a factor in this fatal crash.
