A Severe Extreme Cold Warning is in effect for a portion of Middle Tennessee, including Davidson County, until noon CST Tuesday. Currently, at 9:00 PM, the temperature in Davidson County reads a frigid 2.1°F with clear skies. Winds are light at 4.5 mph, and there has been no precipitation.

Earlier today, the area experienced a high of 17.6°F and a low of -0.6°F with overcast conditions. Winds reached up to 9.4 mph. No precipitation occurred, and the chance of precipitation was zero percent.

Tonight, temperatures are expected to remain extremely low, dipping to -0.6°F under partly cloudy skies. Winds will continue at speeds up to 7.2 mph. The cold wind chills, reaching as low as -11 degrees, could lead to hypothermia if proper precautions are not taken.
