September 28, 2023 – East Precinct detectives are working to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for at least two recent burglaries. The man (seen in attached surveillance footage) entered an unlocked Russell Street storage unit on September 12 when the owner was working nearby and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of high-end music equipment.
The victim later found the equipment listed on Facebook Marketplace for sale.
Last week, the same man broke into The Beauty Parlour on South 10th Street and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment, including hair dryers and professional scissors.
Detectives are also investigating his potential involvement in area porch thefts.
