A driver has died following Saturday’s 9 p.m. two-car crash on Hillsboro Pike near Old Hickory Boulevard.
The preliminary investigation indicates a Lincoln MKC, driven by Alan Baker, 64, of Nashville, was outbound on Hillsboro Pike without headlights on when the vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and struck a Jeep Wrangler head on.
Baker died at the scene.
The 34-year-old driver of the Jeep was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Toxicology testing will be conducted on Baker by the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine whether impairment was a factor in this fatal crash.
