Former Amazon Employee Charged with Stealing Over 80 Packages

A former Amazon driver accused of stealing a delivery truck full of merchandise has been arrested, according to WKRN.

According to a police affidavit, former employee, Sylvester E. Connors Jr., disappeared with a truck full of merchandise on May 8 that was scheduled to be delivered. Police say Connors Jr. was employeed at the Amazon facility on Myatt Drive.

The truck was tracked to a liquor store parking lot on Dickerson Pike in Nashville. Over 80 packages that were scheduled to be delivered, and a company cell phone were missing after it was found.

On August 7, Connors Jr. was taken into custody at a Dickerson Road apartment complex about a mile from the liquor store.

Connors Jr. was charged with theft over $2,500 dollars. His bond was set at $7,500.
