Mrs. Vivian Jane Gorrell passed away on March 14, 2022, at her home in Nashville, Tennessee, she was 91 years old.
She was born in Akron, OH on April 22, 1930, and her family lived in Turtle Creek, PA before moving to Scottsboro, AL, where she attended Scottsboro High School.
Vivian was married to her beloved husband, Shirley Ray Gorrell, for nearly 64 years. They enjoyed boating on Old Hickory Lake for many years and heading to Okeechobee, FL every winter for 25 years. She was unique and fun, a talented artist, and loved by everyone. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Gorrell; brothers, Ronnie (Marie) Pickles of Sun City, FL and Stanley (Elke) Pickles of Dallas, TX; sister, Alice Rice of Chattanooga, TN; sons, Rick Gorrell of Nashville, TN and Steve (Kellie) Wright of Ringgold, GA; daughters, Beverly Guynn of Hendersonville, TN, Lisa (Henry) Cartwright of Arrington, TN, and Kelly (Danny) Davis of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Troy (Leah) Dickson, Marcus Taylor, Christie Taylor, Justin (Jessica) Cartwright, Ben Cartwright, Chase Cartwright, and Makenzy (Logan) Butts. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cyril Pickles and Annis Thomas; twin sister Violet Perricotti of Birmingham, AL, and sister June Thompson of Scottsboro, AL.
