Mikael Jacquies Jackson was a surprise blessing to Lakesha Smith and Michael Jackson on February 24, 1999, Mikael passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the age of 23.
Mikael was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools graduating from Whites Creek High School in 2017. Continuing his education by attending Belmont University and was currently enrolled at Tennessee State University.
Mikael was employed by the YMCA as a lifeguard since he was 16 years old and was also employed by Allied University as a Security Guard.
Mikael gave his life to Christ at a young age at First Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, where he sang in the youth choir. He enjoyed going skating, reading, and his favorite thing to do was play video games on the PS5. He also loved music, he enjoyed it so much that he even played it while in the shower.
While spending time with his daughter they did activities like putting makeup on him, painting his fingernails, singing songs and playing video games together. He was always the life of the party cracking jokes and dancing. Mikael was a Distinctive Honors Graduate of Whites Creek High School.
After graduation, he was granted a full ride to Belmont University but was currently enrolled at Tennessee State University and he ended last semester on the Deans’ Lists.
Proceeded in death by Father Michael J Jackson Sr., (fraternal) Grandfather Benjamin Jackson., Grandmother Paulette Wharton., Sister Mecara Jackson-Claybrooks., Uncle Marcus A Jackson., (maternal) Grandfather Ronnie Bowers., and Grandmother Wanda Smith.
He is survived by daughter Mariah Jackson. His mother Lakesha Smith, stepmother Valencia Clay-Jackson and father figure Ernest McClain. Sisters Starkesha Smith., Brittany Smith., Mikeria Jackson., Miesha Jackson., Mikah Jackson., Kunisha Davis. Brothers William Rainey., Montell Jackson., Michael Brown. Aunts Laronda (Mark) Woodard., Shaletha (Jason) Bowers., Tiffany (Sam) Barton., Oneika Johnson. Uncles Ronnie Smith., William Southern., Kenneth Jackson. Nieces and Nephews Kyleigh Woodruff, Carter Hobson, Kainan Smith, Carmen Smith. Mariah’s Mother Brittany James. Great Grandmother Gloria Bell. Godfather Antonio Wyatt. Spiritual Grandparents Andre Newsom and Gale Newsom. Bestfriends Djuan Bowers, Jaylin Counts., Trinity Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom he loved very much, along with many other dear relatives and remarkable friends.
