Michael Alan Dye Jr., age 33, of Nashville, Tennessee went home to his heavenly Father on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Michael was born February 17, 1988 in Nashville, Tennessee to Victoria Dye and Michael Dye, Sr.

He attended St. Edward Elementary School and graduated from Hume-Fogg Academic High School. “Mike” had a lifelong love for sports, specifically football. He began playing at the age of five for the Flatrock Vols. He continued playing in junior high and then was the starting center for Hillwood High School while he attended Hume-Fogg, where he helped his team advance to the Tennessee State Quarter Finals in 2004. After graduating, Michael continued his education at Middle Tennessee State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and minor in accounting. He most recently worked as an account manager in sales support for the Clever Factory in Nashville. Michael was a true Tennessee Titans fan and some of his favorite memories were spent at Nissan Stadium cheering for them. His caring heart and infectious smile and laugh will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jim B. Dye.

He is survived by his parents, Michael Alan Dye, Sr. and Victoria Dye; sisters, Sally Dye (Alex Davis) and Sofia Carmenate all of Nashville; paternal grandmother Waneta Alexander, maternal grandfather Hector Paz, maternal grandmother Rosa Amalia Ramirez, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Michael is also survived by his loving partner, Brooke Kuluz, and his beloved cat, Pugsley.

We, Michael’s family, would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Nashville Fire Department, Life Flight Critical Care Ground Transport Team (Keith, Ashley, Joey & Dennis), and the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Southern Hills and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We are beyond grateful for the compassion shown to Michael by his doctors and wonderful nurses in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Vanderbilt— specifically Wendy, Maddie, and Madeline.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Michael.
