Marshall Waymon Reeder, age 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Bellevue, Tennessee on June 19, 2022.
He is survived by his wife Rita (Boswell) Reeder and son Effrin Reeder of Hermitage, Tennessee, sisters Charlene Sisco, (Jim) of Madison, Tennessee, Betty Bowman of Livingston, Tennessee, John Reeder of Knoxville, Tennessee and Billy Reeder of Houston, Texas.
Preceded in death by his father Clarvis Reeder, mother Nellie (Kyle) Reeder, brothers Fred Reeder, Mayford Reeder and Shirlie Reeder.
At the age of 18, Marshall enlisted and served in the United States Navy and completed 3 Mediterranean Cruise Tours on the USS Suribachi (AE-21). Following discharge, he returned to his hometown in Overton County and subsequently moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he entered his long career as a Pipefitter. He was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #572.
Following his retirement, he began his new career (hobbies) of reconstruction of his home, landscaping, gardening and taught himself woodworking. He was a lifelong lover of dogs and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed going to and watching the Predators, Titans and his beloved Tennessee VOLS. He was a member of the Pasquo Church of Christ in Bellevue, TN.
Visitation will be at the West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte Pike in Nashville on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4 to 8 pm. An additional visitation will be held at Halls Funeral Home in Livingston, TN on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm.
