3 Men Arrested During Undercover Drug Investigation in Downtown Nashville

The MNPD’s continuing undercover narcotics investigation downtown led to Tuesday night’s arrests of three men for selling cocaine.

An undercover detective encountered Vedarryl Byles, 51, in the 200 block of Broadway. Byles sold the detective one gram of cocaine in exchange for $80.

An undercover detective encountered Anthony Waters, 37, on 2nd Avenue South at Korean Veteran’s Boulevard. Waters sold the detective .5 gram of cocaine for $60.

An undercover detective encountered Clinton Harris, 57, on 2nd Avenue South at Korean Veteran’s Boulevard. Harris sold the detective .5 gram of cocaine for $60. Additionally, Harris was wanted as a fugitive from justice on an out of state drug warrant.

None of the substances recovered tested positive for fentanyl.

This investigation is being led by the Specialized Investigations Division with assistance from Central Precinct officers.
