The motorcyclist killed in Friday’s 6:30 p.m. crash in the 1400 block of Broadway in downtown Nashville is identified as James L. White, 21.
The preliminary investigations shows that White was riding a BMW motorcycle inbound on Broadway at a high rate of speed when the driver of a Jeep Waggoneer pulled out of the parking lot at 1101 Broadway and the motorcycle collided with the front corner of the Jeep.
White, of Lebanon, Tennessee, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. There were no indicators of impairment on the part of White or the driver of the Jeep.
