Lucia Parker Spurrier, 82, passed away June 21, 2026, in Nashville, TN. Lucia was born in Memphis, TN on December 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Keith McCauley Spurrier and Margaret Norvell Spurrier. She is preceded in death by a dear cousin Gayle Dearborn Vance and a special friend Bob Dudley. She is survived by her sister Irene Spurrier of New Ulm, TX, several cousins and by her friend group.
Lucia held a Master of Library Science from George Peabody College for Teachers and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. She was a certified Master Social Worker. Lucia had a great appreciation for nature and love of animals, especially endangered species. She was a generous supporter of these causes. She was an important member of Brookdale Cumberland, having lived there since 2017. Appreciation is expressed for the care she was given there.
