Kay Yvonne Bennett, mother to Troy W. Davenport, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2024, after a battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully, surrounded by family and close friends.
Known for her loving, selfless, and caring nature along with her passion for golfing, gambling, and gaming. Kay will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Kay’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her son, Troy (Tiffany) Davenport; grandson, Scotty (Amanda) Davenport; granddaughters, McKenzie (Joshua) Rose, Kaitlyn Davenport (Jacob Mathis) and Zoey Jackson, and great-grandsons, Brayden and Jaxson Davenport.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tommy (Marie) Ozburn; and her mother, Elizabeth A. Balthrop.
A ceremony will be held at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road on April 12, 2024. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a service immediately following visitation. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
