Julieta Trinidad Galvez, age 77, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
She was born on October 30, 1945 in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Joaquin Matias Trinidad and Trinidad Duenas Canlas Trinidad.
She is also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Pedro DeLeon Galvez, and her siblings Augusto, Joaquin, Jr., Ferdinand and Thelma.
Julieta is survived by her children Sheila, Ranel “Ray” (Beverly), and Radney; grandchildren Chandler and Connor; and siblings Antolin and Ronald.
Julieta graduated from Far Eastern University in the Philippines with a major in home economics which allowed her to keep a well running household so that her husband and children could have successful careers.
Julieta and Pedro lived a love story of more than five decades. They were inseparable from the moment they got married in the Philippines and later relocating to the United States.
After her children started their careers, Julieta served as a long-time leader, many as president, of the Philippine-American Association of Middle Tennessee which built life-long relationships within the Nashville community. Countless gatherings and cultural dance practices occurred within the welcoming home of Pedro and Julieta. They were also well loved by the visiting neighborhood dogs as they were always provided treats, water, and a place to play and sleep with their own pets.
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, her Celebration of Life will take place at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a potluck reception at 1:00 p.m. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
