Faye Allen Hale passed August 3, 2024, following a short illness.

A resident of Nashville, TN, Faye was born in Louisville, KY in 1945 and was the daughter of the late George Bernard Allen and the late Elizabeth Ashby Allen.

She is survived by her husband, R. Walter Hale, III; her daughter, Paige Simpkins Roselle (Arthur), Charlotte, NC; her son, Irby Clifford Simpkins, III (Crystal), Fayetteville, TN; and her stepdaughter, Virginia Phillips Hale, Nashville, TN.

In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Arthur Charles Roselle, Jr., David Stockett Roselle, Faye Elizabeth Roselle, Irby Clifford Simpkins, IV and Jackson Sinclair Simpkins. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Patrick Sinclair Hale. L

ovingly known as Mimi by her family, Faye was a huge source of love, joy, and support for her five grandchildren. She was a consistent presence at all important life events and numerous sporting events across the North and South. Her legacy of a life full of love, grace, and kindness is forever imprinted on all who knew her.

Faye was an honor graduate of Vanderbilt University where her outgoing personality resulted in her election as Miss Freshman. Additionally, she served as a member of the Honor Council and proudly supported the Commodores as a cheerleader. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Faye was past Chairman and President of The Allen Company, a real estate investment company. Throughout her life, she was active in many civic and charitable organizations. Among them, she served on the Board of the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee for many years and was a board member of Family and Children’s Services. She also served on the board of the Heritage Foundation in Franklin, TN. She was a past member of the Harpeth Academy School Board and the Harpeth Hall School Mothers’ Board.

Faye was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church as well as a member of Belle Meade Country Club and the Royal Poinciana Club, Naples, FL.

A memorial service for Faye will be held at 1:00 pm on August 9, 2024 at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Road, Nashville, TN, 37205, followed by a visitation with family and friends at St. George’s Episcopal Church. A family graveside service will be held the day before.
