Mr. Donald “Don” Francis Irwin of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, he was 81 years old.
Don was born on August 3, 1940. He honorably served his country and retired as a Major in the Army National Guard. Don also humbly served in multiple capacities at his home church of almost 40 years, Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Don is survived by his wife, Rena Huggins Irwin of Nashville, Tennessee; son Chris (Yvonne) Irwin of Red Bank, New Jersey; and daughter Cynthia (Chris) Irwin Feinstein of Brush Creek, Tennessee; his brothers Kenneth (Marilyn) Irwin of Louisville, Kentucky and Paul (Sue) Irwin of Dallas, Texas; his sisters Louise Hunt of Orlando, Florida and Beth Ducharme of Lebanon, Tennessee; and his grandchildren Jacob Irwin, Chloe Feinstein, and Christopher Feinstein II.
A gathering of family and friends for Don will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM as well as on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2620 Pennington Bend Rd., Nashville, TN 37214. A celebration of life will follow Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 2620 Pennington Bend Rd., Nashville, TN 37214. A committal service will take place Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests donations in Don’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
