Dolly Dean Hooberry, born on February 13, 1929, and peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 96. She lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Dolly will always be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering devotion to her loved ones, and her deep love for the Lord.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Davis Hooberry, and her sister, Dorothy Mitchell.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Patricia Dean Meyer, and her husband, Mark Meyer of Tulsa, OK; her son, Phillip Daniel Hooberry, and his wife, Sarah Hooberry of Shelbyville, TN; along with her grandchildren, Chris, Heidi, Nina, Tanna, and their spouses, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
A retired Nashville Metro School Teacher and a devoted member of Arlington Methodist Church, Dolly’s love for the Lord, her family, and her community was evident in everything she did. She touched the lives of countless students with her dedication to teaching, and her faith and kindness shaped the lives of all who knew her.
Dolly was a generous and caring soul who loved the simple pleasures of life, including spending time at the beach. Her spirit of compassion and devotion to her family remained constant throughout her life. She will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. All are welcome to join in honoring and celebrating Dolly’s life. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
