Her last school teaching assignment was teaching at Burns L. Darden Elementary School in Clarksville before dedicating her life to being a full-time preacher’s wife, where she

song director, had a few children singing groups called” The Little Angels. Clara was in several newspapers and magazines during her lifespan with her wonderful gracious smile.
She sang the most angelic Alto and her voice was heard over and above all others when she sang.

Her hobbies included Sewing (An Extraordinary talented Seamstress), Gardening (flowers and vegetables), Pottery, Decorating, Swimming, and more but her true passion was
her Teens at The Walton House and called Teen Celebration. Clara had the name changed to Salama (She said Salama was from Egypt and was ‘Swahili” for ‘Peace’)

Clara’s faith, Love, and Passion for Christ, her family, and people in general never wavered her entire life as she affected countless lives in her 86 years on earth.

Mrs. Clara Is SO Loved its hard to imagine life with her gone but her Legacy Lives on and on thru children: sons Arthur III (Carolyn), Kenneth C., Alwyn Todd Fulson Sr.
and only daughter Lydia D. (Ellery) Mannery.

Proceeded in death by her parents: Walter and Mattie Slaughter, her 5 Brothers: William, Nelson, James Sr, Leslie, John Richard Slaughter, and only sister Josie Cunningham.
Also her childhood love, husband, and friend Arthur Fulson Jr.and grandson Quincy “E” Mannery.
