Charles “Chuck” Smith, age 82 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
Chuck, as he was affectionately known, worked for CSX Railroad for over 30 years. When he retired, he was a brakeman for CSX. Chuck enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He spent many years in Houston County hunting and fishing. He loved his family and they were very important to him. He will be greatly missed.
Survived by wife, Judy Pendleton Smith; sons, Landy (Lori) Smith and Curtis Smith; grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Dama (Johi) Govern and Jaya Smith; 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Doug (Gloria) Smith and Lee (Deborah) Smith.
Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Joe Stegall at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force.
