Carolyn Polson Reynolds, 82, of Old Hickory, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024.
A native of Old Hickory, Carolyn graduated from Dupont High School. She then attended Vanderbilt’s Nursing Program. After deciding that the medical field was not for her, Carolyn attended the American Business College, where she received an associate’s degree. She was a bookkeeper for Graphic Process Inc. for many years.
Carolyn was an avid Vanderbilt fan and was a member of the Commodores Club. She loved to tailgate at home games. She also loved her Golden Labradors and was a skilled gardener.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin “Mel” Reynolds; And her parents, Archie and Cora Polson, and a sister Mary Cathlene Polson (stillborn).
Carolyn is survived by her son, Mark Mayhugh (Cindy), granddaughter, Rachel Mayhugh, and grandson, Alex Mayhugh, all of Brentwood.
Visitation will be held at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, on Saturday, September 28th from 1 pm until her funeral service at 2. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
