September 28, 2023 – A driver has died following Wednesday’s 11 p.m. single-car crash at 1115 Jackson Street.
A Kia Seltos was traveling westbound on I-40 when, for reasons unknown, it left the roadway and struck a fence, rock wall and a utility pole before coming to rest.
The driver, identified as a 28-year-old Nicole Switalski of Nashville, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
There was no evidence of impairment at the scene. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
