The body of a kayaker was found six hours after she went missing on April 29, 2023, according to WKRN.
The woman was killed after a boat accident on Percy Priest Lake in the 2900 block of Bell Road. Authorities responded to the incident shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
WKRN reports that a boat with three occupants allegedly hit the solo kayaker by a boat ramp near Hamilton Creek. The collision caused the woman to fall into the water.
Authorities were called when she didn’t resurface. After a search, Nashville OEM divers found the woman’s body in 54 feet of water just after 3 p.m.
The woman’s full identity has not been released at this time but officials did confirm that she was a Middle Tennessee resident.
