Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in an apartment complex parking lot on Winthorne Drive on July 13.
Genesis Garcia, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with a single gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a Honda Accord.
The investigation indicates Garcia was with a friend in the parked vehicle when she was shot from outside the Honda. A group of 4-5 young men, believed to be Hispanic, were in the area at the time.
The motive remains under investigation.
