May 15, 2025 – A 16-year-old Whites Creek High School junior has been arrested after a loaded handgun was discovered inside his backpack this morning.
Whites Creek’s Evolv detection system alerted staff to check the teen’s backpack as he came into the building. The pistol had an extended magazine and the serial number was scratched off.
He is being charged at Juvenile Court with bringing a weapon onto school property and unlawful gun possession.
