May 13, 2025 – A 17-year-old Maplewood High School senior has been arrested after a loaded semi-automatic pistol was discovered inside his backpack this morning.
Maplewood’s Evolv detection system alerted staff to check the 17-year-old as he came into the building. He is being charged at Juvenile Court with bringing a weapon onto school property and unlawful gun possession.
