Two Teens Arrested After Fleeing Police in Stolen SUV

November 18, 2022 – Investigation by TITANS detectives, working closely with Violent Crimes Division detectives, Thursday night led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the arrest of two male teens.

The stolen Ford Escape was spotted near Clarksville Pike and West Hamilton Road. The driver fled when he became aware of a police presence. A police helicopter followed the SUV and officers successfully deployed spike strips on the ground. The two occupants, ages 16 and 17, fled on foot. They were apprehended hiding in a nearby vehicle. A gun that had been reported stolen was recovered from the Ford Escape.

Both teens are charged in Juvenile Court. The driver is charged with motor vehicle theft and felony evading arrest. His passenger is charged with theft of a firearm, juvenile handgun possession, and evading arrest.
