Shots were fired at detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department overnight Friday, according to WSMV.
MNPD says the detectives were in an unmarked squad car when they began following a stolen car near Pheasant Drive and Dove Place around 3 a.m. on Friday. Moments later, shots were fired at the detectives, causing them to lose track of the stolen car.
The detectives did not sustain any injuries.
The stolen car was found unoccupied at a residence nearby after MNPD began a search around the neighborhood.
WSMV reports that three juveniles have been taken into custody but it is unclear how they are involved in the shooting.
