February 8, 2024 – Metro detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who early last Saturday morning attempted to rape a 30-year-old woman in the 400 block of 11th Avenue North.
The victim was walking to her residence at 1:45 a.m. when the suspect grabbed her from behind and knocked her to the ground. He attempted to remove her clothing. She screamed and fought back. When a witness began yelling from a parking garage across the street, the suspect walked off.
The suspect is a white man with short blonde hair. He wore a flannel shirt and blue jeans. Anyone who recognizes him from the attached photos is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
