Mr. William “Bill” Lanius, age 81, was born September 23,1944, in Davidson County, TN. Mr. Lanius passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at McKendree Retirement Home, Hermitage, TN.
The oldest of three boys, to the late Ralston P. and Dollie Lucile McKennon Lanius. He was a member of Donelson View Baptist Church.
He retired as a truck driver for Yellow Freight where he worked for 36 years. Preceded him in death by son, Jeff Lanius and brother, Bobby Lanius.
Survivors include 1 brother, Lonnie R. and Pam Lanius of College Grove, TN; daughter, Lori Ethridge; grandchildren, Bailey and Chloe Ethridge; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous church and family friends.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Bo Fawbush on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 12:00 noon (visitation 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment with Military Honors at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
