Willa Robbins Taylor, age 89, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 31st, 2023.
She was born in Erin, Tennessee on February 15th, 1934.
Willa graduated from Erin High School and received a Bachelor of Science from Austin Peay University. She moved to Nashville in 1955 and worked as a Medical Technologist at the VA Hospital for 34 years.
She married Thomas Ray Taylor of Nashville on November 12th 1960 at McKendree United Methodist Church in Nashville. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She grew up on a farm which instilled her a great love for nature and her lifelong love of cats.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Thomas Ray Taylor of Nashville; her parents, Thales Thomas Robbins and Maggie Ruth Bateman of Erin, TN and a brother, Garner Robbins.
She is survived by her children, Janice Taylor Raines and David Taylor both of Nashville; her brothers, Herman Robbins of Lewisburg, KY and Carlton Robbins of Clarksville, TN and a sister, Geneva Robbins of Henderson, NC.
A gathering of family & friends for Willa will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A gathering of family & friends will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:30 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
