OBITUARY: Venson ‘Ben’ Cranford

Venson “Ben” Cranford, age 77 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday,  September 6, 2023.

Ben served in the United States Air Force and was very proud to serve for his country. After completion of his time in the military, he worked a few years at AVCO before starting his career at BellSouth/AT&T where he retired after 30 years of service.

Ben’s favorite pastime was spoiling and spending time with his beloved wife, Susie, she was the love of his life. He was always happy to share their story. Ben loved attending and serving at church. He served as a deacon at Tusculum Hills Baptist Church for many years as well as enjoyed singing in the choir.

Ben will always be remembered for his genuine love for his Savior, family and friends, his calm demeanor, and his warm, welcoming smile.

Preceded in death by wife, Susie Cranford.

Survived by sister, Nancy (Ronald) Earl and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Frank Lewis on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 12:00 Noon (visitation 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment with Military Honors at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
