Thomas “Tommy” Tenpenny, age 72 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Mr. Tenpenny grew up in Nashville area, served in the Vietnam War, became a hair designer and worked in the Nashville and Brentwood area for many years. He also worked as a cabinet maker along side his father at Middle TN Millwork in Lavergne, TN.
Tommy became a 100% disabled vet and spent his later years in an Assisted Living environment where he made many great friends and he will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by parents, Bud and Lois Tenpenny; and sister, Theresa Tenpenny Baker.
Survived by daughters, Tonya (Jim) Reed and Amanda Tenpenny; son, Remington Tenpenny; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Reed, Taylor (Delana) Reed, Jonathan (Vanessa) Buttrey, Kenzie Vernon and Nate Vernon; and 4 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Dale Vernon; and other family members.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. (visitation Friday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m.) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment with Military Honors Friday at 1 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
