OBITUARY: Thomas ‘TJ’ Joseph Evans

Thomas “TJ” Joseph Evans, age 94, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born to the late, Duncan Evans and Bessie Mai Whitfield Evans.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Ann Evans of Nashville; son, Don (Nancy) Evans of College Grove, daughter, Terri (Steve) Denney of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Matt Evans, Bryant (Brittney) Evans, Tyler (Marin) Evans, Daniel (Dara) Denney and Andrew (Niki) Denney, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Thomas was a retired executive for the Danner Foods Corporation, specifically, for the Shoney’s and Captain D’s brands. He was passionate about his yard, which he always kept meticulous and vacations to the beach.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held from ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Road, Nashville, TN 37220.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at twelve noon on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Road, Nashville, TN 37220.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Rd. Nashville, TN 37220.
