Thomas Edward Warrion, a devoted father, grandfather, and accomplished engineer, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of April 25, 2026. Born on August 23, 1947, in Derby, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Niezelski) Warrion. A native of the Naugatuck Valley, Tom graduated from Ansonia High School in 1965 and went on to earn an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Norwalk State Technical College in 1969. Tom was a man of quiet strength and steadfast faith who began his final journey surrounded by the love of his children, Kara Warrion, Erica Law, and Kurt Warrion, and his grandson, Preston Warrion.
A proud veteran, Tom served four years in the United States Army Corps of Engineers, a period of service that remained a point of great personal pride throughout his life. This foundation of service and technical skill led him to a distinguished career as a Metallurgical Engineer at Triumph Aerostructures. Though he was retired at the time of his passing, his professional legacy was one of precision and dedication. His commitment to his community and faith was equally strong; Tom was a deeply active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Old Hickory, Tennessee, and was honored to hold an Honorary Life Membership with the Knights of Columbus.
Outside of his professional and civic duties, Tom was a man of many passions. He found great joy in the outdoors, traveling to discover new sights, and meticulously collecting cars-a hobby that perfectly suited his engineering spirit. Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Toy Warrion, and his sister, Marcia Talcik. He is survived by his three children and his cherished grandchildren, Preston Warrion, Sloane Law, Harper Hinson, Hiram Hinson, and Peyton Fields, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. He also leaves behind his brother, Joseph T. Warrion, of Vail, Arizona. Thomas will be remembered as a man who valued his family above all else, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
A Memorial Mass and Rite of Committal will take place at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Old Hickory, Tennessee, at a future date to be announced by the family. In keeping with Tom’s lifelong devotion to his faith, these services will serve as a final celebration of a life well-lived and a spirit returned home.
