Steven Wade Sutton of Nashville, TN was saved by the grace of God when he was 12 years old. Wade passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 67.

He was born to Charles and Joyce Ashburn Sutton on January 28, 1957.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruth and E.W. Hassell, and brother-in-law, Jim Bryan.

Wade is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pam Sutton; children, Roxi (Seth) Sowers, Mandy (Nathan) Brawner, Travis (Maggie) Sutton; grandchildren, Carsie Sowers, Gabe Sowers, and Ari Brawner; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Emory Lester, Yvonne Bryan, Paul and Tina Hassell and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Wade was a retired police officer for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department with 29 years of service. He was an avid motorcyclist, sportsman and drummer, playing in several bands through the years. Wade loved family trips to the Smoky Mountains, playing with his grandchildren, watching scary movies, and playing card games.

He considered his family as his greatest treasure. His love and pride for his wife, children and grandchildren was evident to everyone who knew him.

He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1975.

The Sutton Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 between the hours of 3 pm and 8 pm, and on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 11 am until the service time of 1 pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209.
