James Edward Quinn, age 87, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024.
He was born on June 24, 1936, in Parsons, TN, to Theodore (Doad) Quinn and Zora Taylor Quinn.
James graduated from Parsons High School and furthered his education at Draughon’s Business College. On November 26, 1955, he exchanged vows with the love of his life, Mayrene Quinn, in Corinth, MS. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories.
For three decades, James dedicated himself to a successful career in management at Bond Chadwell Company. His commitment, integrity, and work ethic were evident in every task he undertook.
A devout member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, James served as a deacon and treasurer, embodying his unwavering faith and dedication to his community. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
Outside of his professional and religious endeavors, James had a profound passion for golf. He found solace and joy on the green, forging lasting friendships along the way.
James leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving Wife, Mayrene Wooley Quinn; His Sons, Gary and Barry (Beth) Quinn; his cherished Grandchildren, Calla Quinn, Rachel Harrington, and Nicholas Quinn; and his Great-Grandchildren, Emma Harrington, Joshua Harrington, Abigail Harrington, Avery Quinn, and Leighton Quinn.
In addition to his immediate family, James is remembered fondly by a host of relatives, friends, and colleagues whose lives he enriched with his warmth and compassion.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore (Doad) and Zora Quinn; his sister, Irene Patterson; his brother, Rex Quinn; and his Great-Granddaughter, Katherine Hope Harrington.
A Gathering of Family and friends for James will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. Family will begin receiving family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 until the Funeral Service at 12:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
