Mrs. Sigma Fay Tidwell Ray of Goodlettsville Tennessee passed away on Monday, Oct 3, 2022, she was 90 years old.
Fay was born in Burns TN and she was a dedicated loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and sister. Her life’s biggest satisfaction was taking care of her family. She was a lifelong member of Ivey Point Church of Christ. She loved arts and crafts and won several first place blue ribbons at Tennessee State Fair for crocheting and other crafts.
She is survived by her sons, Herman E. Ray, Jr. (Tammy), Mack William Ray (Juliana) and James Russell Ray (Geneva); sister Alice Maria Edwards. Loving grandchildren, Dr. Herman E. Ray, III (Jennifer), Jessica Ray, Erica Stagner (Daniel), Jordan Snow (Kristan), Brett Ray (Kelli), Macayla Ray Rawls (Cole) and Mackenzie McGee; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Fay was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66years, Herman E. Ray; parents, Judson Porter Tidwell and Clara Moss, and her Daddy, Mack McClellan; Sister, Elsie Mai Coulter, and Brother, Richard Hardee McClellan.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Fay will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. Following the gathering, there will be a graveside celebration of life at 1:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
