Mrs. Sandra Faye Harris Bates left this life on Friday, August 19, 2022, to be with our Lord and Savior, she was 76 years old.
She was a devout Christian who gave her entire life to God and her church. Sandra was born and raised in Nashville, graduated from Glencliff High School in 1964. She met her loving husband of 58 years, Rodney Bates, at Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Sandra was a first grade Sunday school teacher for 25+ years at Tusculum Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Turrentine Salvage Company on Nolensville Road for 29 years.
Sandra had many accomplishments but her most beloved were her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Bates; daughter, Rhonda Stallings; mother, Betty Harrls; sister, Judy Belloli; grandchildren, Greg, Gage, Justin, Zach and Stone; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Briley, Jasper, Dolly, Jax, Lawson, Layton, Ravyn, Elle and Slade; niece, Donna Angel; grandniece, Zoey.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Kristi Altgilbers; father, Robert Harris; and brother-in-law, Dick Belloli.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Rev. Mark Caruth. Interment Montgomery Cemetery, Cowan, TN. Family will serve as Pallbearers.
