Ruth Everhart Lord 4/20/1930 – 10/11/2021.
Ruth Lord was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was born and raised in Lexington, North Carolina; the oldest of 8 siblings born to Ruth Vernell and Arthur Everhart. She married Lillious Hostell Lord on December 23, 1950 in Lexington, and they moved to El Paso, Texas when he was stationed in the U.S. Army at Fort Bliss. They later lived near Dallas, Texas before moving to the Nashville area, first to Madison, and then to Goodlettsville where Ruth lived until her death.

L.H. and Ruth raised 3 children (James, Donna, and Deborah), and was very actively involved in raising her grandson, Alan (son of Deborah). She worked as a bookkeeper and later in Customer Service for Dee Cee Laboratories for more than 45 years until her retirement in 2015. Ruth instilled in her children the value of honesty and hard work and was a faithful member of Connell Memorial United Methodist Church, living her life as an example of a follower of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by daughter Donna Cantrell; grandchildren Alan Lee Parrish (Nicole) and Jeremy Dale Lord (Cameron); great-grandchildren Lillyana Diann Parrish, Abigail Lea Parrish, and Carter King Lord; and many family members and friends.

A celebration of life service for Ruth will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, with a visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
