Ruby Jo Baker (Faulk) Dickinson, age 87, passed away September 4, 2024.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, September 26 at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden, Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 10:00 – 11:30 prior to the service.

Ruby Jo was born September 16, 1936 in Humphreys County, Tennessee. She was the fifth of ten children born to James Porter and Grace Louise Cunningham Baker. She attended McEwen High School where she played basketball and was voted Most Athletic her senior year. She was also named Miss McEwen High in 1955.

After graduation she moved to Shelbyville where she lived and worked for many years and raised her two children. This is also where she met Don and the two were married in 1980. Their union enlarged her family with three step-children. Don and Ruby Jo have enjoyed a blessed life together filled with love along with many fun times with family and friends. Wherever they lived, their home was always warm and welcoming to all.

Ruby Jo was a member of Bradfordville First Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. She possessed great faith and loved the Lord. She will be remembered as a loving wife, dedicated and gracious mother, adoring grandmother and devoted sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents James Porter Baker and Grace Louise Cunningham Baker, bothers Willy Scott Baker, James Porter (J.P.) Baker and Larry Dean Baker, sisters Sarah Nell Baker Turner, Catherine Oleane Baker Dotson, Dora Ann Baker Tuck and Anita Louise (Lou) Baker Bielaczyc.

Ruby Jo is survived by her husband Donald (Don) Keith Dickinson, her two children George Elliott Faulk (Robyn) and Mary Grace Faulk Hotovec (Paul), grandchildren Catherine Grace Faulk, George Griffin Faulk, William Elliott Hotovec and Isaac Baker Hotovec, two sisters Angela (Angie) Grace Baker Scott (Buddy) and Margaret Faith Baker Brown (Jimmy). She is also survived by her step-children Stephen (Steve) Donald Dickinson (Dottie), Scott David Dickinson (Theresa) and Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Dickinson
