Robert Edward Garrett, Jr. Age 85 of Madison, TN passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Fay Garrett, and his son, Eddie Garrett.
He leaves his wife, Barbara Garrett, daughter, Ann Garrett; sons, George (Linda) Garrett and Matt (Shannon) Garrett; stepdaughters, Janet (Bob) Pasinger; stepsons, Jim (Roseanne) Havron, Rob (Lisa) Havron, and Doug (Coreen) Havron; granddaughter, Liliana Garrett.
Mr. Garrett was a lifelong resident of Nashville, TN, and graduated from Joelton High School and George Peabody University. He was retired from the Nashville Gas Company and was an active member of the City Road Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved the Lord, baseball, music, a good cigar, and his faithful canine buddy, Murphy.
A Graveside service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery on Friday, September 24, at 11 am with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Pastor Jay Voorhees officiating.
Masks will be required, and we ask that everyone in attendance practice social distancing.
Active Pallbearers will be Robert Pasinger, Chad Pasinger, Doug Havron, Josh Combs, and David Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Living Word Class at City Road and Cigar Club of Rivergate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to City Road United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
