Richard Edward Kirk of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022, he was 92 years old.
Richard was born on February 27, 1930. He was the son of Edward Langston Kirk and Margaret Whitehurst Kirk.
He grew up in Nashville and graduated from Father Ryan High School. A lifelong resident of Nashville, Richard married the love of his life, Mary Ellen Larson in 1953. As a founding family of the Parish, Richard and Mary worshipped as part of the Church of the Holy Rosary congregation in Donelson. Richard was widely known for his sweet demeanor and loved by so many. He and Mary labored and loved together for 69 years.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Lindsey Taylor Kirk and also by his nephew Charles “Chuck” Underwood. Richard is survived by his wife Mary and their two sons Michael Eugene (Kim) Kirk and Kevin Edward Kirk, nieces, Jacque, Sharon and Ann, and nephews, Robert, Marc, Bobby “Butch,” Ricky and Kenny.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery.
