Patrick Hugh Rohling Sr.

Patrick Hugh Rohling, Sr., age 65, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Patrick was born March 15, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late William Clement and Nora Vourie Davis Rohling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph William Rohling.

Patrick is survived by his sons, James (Nicole) Rohling of Nashville and Patrick Hugh Rohling, Jr., of Ashland City; Grandchildren, Walker and Crawford; siblings, Jean Marie Mooney, Linda Catherine (Al) Valiquette, Elizabeth Ann (Robert) Burton, Lawrence Anthony Rohling, Grace Ann Rohling, and Michael Francis (Karen) Rohling.

Patrick was a graduate of Father Ryan High School. He was a big sports fan, especially a Notre Dame Football fan, he called every time they achieved a touchdown- go Notre. He was active in sports with his children and coaching baseball, and never missed a game. In the summertime, he could always be found making ice cream on the back patio listening to either the Cincinnati Reds or Tennessee Titans. He was an avid golfer and could be found chasing the white ball from Kentucky to Alabama.

Patrick grew up in a large close-knit Irish Catholic family. During his childhood, he and his siblings would always be out and about with all the kids in the neighborhood. They loved playing cards, board games, and playing sports. Patrick was very driven, always putting others before himself. He raised his boys with values, manners, and desired to see them succeed. His wit and humor were infectious to all who knew him. Patrick loved to spend time with his family especially his children, grandchildren, and friends.

A private Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in honor of Patrick Rohling to the Coach Catignani Memorial Scholarship at Christ the King Catholic School, 3001 Belmont Blvd, Nashville, TN 37212.
