Patricia Anne “Patsy” Smith – Age 72 of Nashville, TN. Born August 29, 1948 and passed away July 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, James, and Harriett Smith. Survived by brothers, Steve (Theresa) Smith and Clint (Jamie) Smith; nephews, Nicholas and Zachary; niece, Marisa.
She was a longtime member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ. She was active as a Sunday School teacher and assisted in the Hispanic English classes. She attended East High School and graduated in 1966. She then attended Vanderbilt Hospital for a 2-year X-ray tech training program. After working in Florida and Sweetwater, TN as an X-ray technician, she decided to come back to Nashville. She then attended Falls Business College for a one-year program and went to work for Mr. Leon Ruben as a legal secretary for several years, and then was employed by ACME School Supply for 19 years. Patsy was a sitter for elderly persons, and after her father’s death, she took care of her mother. After a fall and hospital stay in 2019, she could no longer live by herself in an apartment and moved to an assisted living facility.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 12:00 Noon (visitation from 10 a.m.-12 Noon) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Andy Connelly and Wavell Stewart. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be the elders of Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
