Omer Clayron Allen, age 82 was born July 9, 1940, in Jackson County, TN to the late Omer and Vesta Allen. He passed from this life on August 17, 2022.
Clayron grew up in neighboring Putnam County, graduating from Algood High School and from Tennessee Technological University. He spent 2 years in reserve officers’ training and 2 years in the reserve National Guard. Clayron was employed by Arnold Engineering for 9 years, 20 years as a real estate broker and 9 years with the Internal Revenue Service retiring in 2008.
His wife, Jackie Short Allen, was a part of his life for more than 50 years. He was strongly influenced by Algood Church of Christ and Tusculum Church of Christ.
His family includes sisters, Polly Weston of Simi Valley, CA, Judy Rash (Chuck) of Mechanicsville, VA and Oneda Edmundson (Ray) of Nashville, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Kinslow and Rilda Jamieson.
Services will be conducted Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. (visitation 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Ron Kline. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
