Nancy Hicks Mullins, age 78 of Nashville, passed away June 2, 2026. She was an educator in the Metro Nashville Public School System for 40 plus years. Although Nancy was primarily a first grade teacher, she was also a reading specialist, and ran the Science camps for Metro Schools in the summer. She was a longtime member of the Methodist Church. Nancy was an avid reader, enjoyed women’s basketball, and fishing.
Preceded in death by her parents, Landon and Helene Hicks, and her brothers, Larry Hicks and Mike Hicks. She is survived by her husband, Larry Martin; children, Lea Johnson (Doug) and Rob Mullins (Ashley); granddaughter, Claire Mullins; brother, Steve Hicks (Debbie); granddogs, Willow and Della; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be conducted at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home Sunday, June 7th, from 2:00PM until 4:00PM. The family will pay special tribute to Nancy at 3:45PM with a reading and song that was meaningful to Nancy.
