Mr. Michael Edward “Eddie” Young, age 71 of Nashville/Madison, TN passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Eddie was born on October 25, 1953 in Nashville, TN. He was a son of the late Alfred and Marie Dempsey Young.
For many years he was employed with Pirelli Tires, and he retired as a warehouse manager in the sugar manufacturing industry. Eddie was an outdoorsman; he absolutely loved camping and had camped at most of Tennessee’s state parks. His favorite camping sites were at Montgomery Bell State Park and the Smokey Mountains. Eddie also enjoyed amusement parks. His family and friends referred to him as the “Roller Coaster King”. Above all, he loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Young is survived by his life partner, Cindy McGarrah; his daughters, Michell Skaare (Craig), and Chastity Paoli (Chris); bonus daughter, Tiffany Reed and her children, Kaleb and Mia; two sisters, Joann Farmer and Nancy Carter; grandchildren, Austin Skaare (Zoe), Emma Skaare, Charlee Young, Brayden Ceballos, and Roman Paoli; great-grandchildren, CeCe, Delilah, Makenna, Liberty “Libby”, and Thaddeus “TJ”. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Madison Free Will Baptist Church, 300 Scalf Drive, Madison, TN 37115. The visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of service. http://taylorsince1909.com
