Mary Frances Weathersby Beachboard, age 80, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at her home.
Born in Flora, MS, Mary was a dedicated employee at Piccadilly Cafeteria for over 20 years, working as a server until her retirement in 2020. She embodied stewardship in all aspects of her life, tending to friends, family, and customers with the utmost compassion.
Overcoming tremendous challenges, Mary built a life in Nashville through her exceptional work ethic, discipline, and determination. She was a firm believer in never giving up.
She was admired for her strong-willed independence, and cherished for her sweetness and generosity. Known to her grandchildren as Nanny, she created a nurturing environment where many treasured memories were made.
Beyond her work, Mary found joy in her hobbies. She was a gifted seamstress. She grew the tastiest tomatoes and the prettiest roses. Her collection of “I Love Lucy” memorabilia was impressive.
Mary’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and service. May she now enjoy eternal peace with the Lord, well-deserved after a life of unwavering effort.
Mary had three brothers — Pete, Tommy, and James Weathersby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beachboard; sister, Alma Ruth Easterling; and parents, Berry and Susie Weathersby.
She is survived by her partner, Dave; stepchildren, Donnie Beachboard, Chuck Beachboard, and Jill Lancaster; grandchildren, Lindsey, Kari, Ali, and Chase, and great-granddaughter, Pattie.
Funeral services will commence on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM with a memorial service beginning at 12:00 noon CST. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
