Lonnie Ray Petty, Sr., age 77 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
A loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend and Neighbor who is greatly loved and respected by all. A man who stood for right in every single situation, at all costs and a man who took the time and patience to pass along goodness, love and a heartfelt compliment from his heart to yours. A man dedicated to being the best of the best at everything he touched and set his mind to.
A man who went out of his way to show even a total stranger how much he appreciated them and how special they were. A man who was a master craftsman at doing floor work amongst many other skills. His legacy will live on in all of us. Until the day we go home to be with the Lord and him, he will truly be missed and appreciated by everyone he has touched. He meant so much to so many.
Survived by wife, Brenda Faye Warrick Petty; daughter, B. J. (Ricky) Freudenthal; sons, Ray (Lori) Petty, Jr., Timmy (Ann) Petty, Bobby Petty, Richard (Laura) Petty and Mark (Amanda) Petty; grandchildren, Carrie (Jason), Kevin (Amber), Katlynn, Little Richard, Aliceson, Destany, Gracie, Makynlie, Ashley, Melanie (Brandon), Austin, Kayci and Jason (Christy); great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Niyah, Jase, Baby N, Huntley, Easton, Chance, Aubrey, Amelia, Emerson, Odin, Rhiannon, Laci, Madison and Levi; sisters, Sandy (Lewis) Barbier and Carol (Eric) Moore.
Funeral services will be conducted by Dove Wilson, David Peden and Charlie Armour on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jon Stanley, Brandon carter, Brian Sweeney, Nathaniel Wilson, Kevin Petty, Jason Sullivan, Jason Nicholson and Austin Freudenthal.
